The current population of The Town of Amherstburg is just over 23,500.The Town of Amherstburg wishes to seek proposals for lining 1.22 m diameter brick sewer that extends for a length of 30.0m from the intersection of Duff Avenue and Sandwich Street North, towards the outfall on the Detroit River. This sewer is known as the Fraserville Storm Outfall. From the maintenance hole (MH) to the outfall, there are three pipe materials:โข At the MH, there is a short transitional length of corrugated steel pipe (CSP), between the maintenance hole and the brick sewer. This short stretch is to be lined.โข Brick sewer, from the transition piece at the maintenance hole to the concrete section near the outfall (approximately 30m). This stretch is to be lined.โข Concrete sewer, from the brick sewer to the outfall that was recently installed as part of a repair project. The Proponent will provide all necessary labor, equipment and materials required to successfully rehabilitate the brick sewer and the short transitional length of CSP, in accordance with its associated specifications outlined in this Bid. The Work to be done also includes all aspects of the rehabilitation required to rectify any deficiencies in the sewer segments and restoration of all affected areas to match, or exceed, existing conditions.
