CAWIC issues invitation for CAMH construction site tour

The Canadian Association of Women in Construction (CAWIC) has issued an invitation to both members and non-members to tour the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) construction site on Aug. 15.

PCL and Plenary Health are building the structure under a public-private partnership agreeent with an estimated $685 million cost.

“Once construction is completed, the two new buildings, with approximately 600,000 square feet of space, will feature 235 inpatient beds, a 24/7 Emergency Department, a 300-seat auditorium, a unique ‘therapeutic neighbourhood’ for patients, and much more,” CAWIC says in its invitation.

Fees are $25.00 for CAWIC members, $15 for students and $35 for non-members.  The tour starts at 2:00 p.m. a 100 Stokes St., Toronto (sixth floor, Dev. Chopra Boardroom).  Proper protective equipment is mandatory: Hardhat, safety boots and eye protection. Light refreshments will be provided.
