The Canadian Association of Women in Construction has co-ordinated a tour of the $40 million KF Aerospace aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul building at Hamilton Airport. Ledcor expects to complete the 150,000 sq. ft. structure in November.

The new structure will introduce wide-body aircraft capability and additional lines of maintenance to KFโ€™s Hamilton operation. โ€œItโ€™s expected to triple KFโ€™s business in the Hamilton marketplace, expanding the companyโ€™s ability to support the countryโ€™s fastest growing airport and its international cargo and passenger airline partners,โ€ CAWIC says in a statement.

The program on Oct. 10 starts at 10:00 a.m. at 9500 Airport Rd., Mount Hope, with a maximum of 25 participants.

Registration is $35 for non-members, $25 for members and $15 for students. Personal protective equipment (safety vest, hard hat and vision protection and safety boots) are required.
