The Canadian Association of Women in Construction has co-ordinated a tour of the $40 million KF Aerospace aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul building at Hamilton Airport. Ledcor expects to complete the 150,000 sq. ft. structure in November.
The new structure will introduce wide-body aircraft capability and additional lines of maintenance to KF’s Hamilton operation. “It’s expected to triple KF’s business in the Hamilton marketplace, expanding the company’s ability to support the country’s fastest growing airport and its international cargo and passenger airline partners,” CAWIC says in a statement.
The program on Oct. 10 starts at 10:00 a.m. at 9500 Airport Rd., Mount Hope, with a maximum of 25 participants.
Registration is $35 for non-members, $25 for members and $15 for students. Personal protective equipment (safety vest, hard hat and vision protection and safety boots) are required.
