The first Construction Specifications Canada (CSC) Ottawa Chapter event in 2023 will be a lunchtime program about wall assembly thermal clips to improve buildings’ energy efficiency.

Dan Dufort from Soprema Canada’s building envelope division will discuss ACS Composite Systems’ thermal clips at the free lunchtime program on Jan. 18.

“Getting it right the first time is success towards your project, and if I can help in any way for you to achieve this, I will have accomplished my goal to you, your firm and the industry throughout,” Dufort says.

Soprema has collaborated with the firm Morrison Hershfield in the testing of wall assemblies that comply with the energy performance requirements of the National Energy Code for Buildings. The ACS thermal clips attachment system for panelized exterior cladding materials significantly improves the thermal efficiency of wall assemblies, the company says. The system also has passed the fire test conducted by Intertek according to the CAN/ULC-S134 standard.

There will be a free lunch and there is no cost to attend the program at the Overbrook Community Centre, 33 Quill St.
