Based on more than 25 years in the industry, Dolce Construction Group (DCG) has grown into a full service civil construction management company.
Principal Danny Borzellino says DCG is active in various sectors of the RCI (residential, commercial, industrial) industry and fills a void in the industry for quality workmanship and competitive rates. “We learned a long time ago that an educated consumer will save money the right way, without cutting corners.”
He says the process starts in the planning phase where DCG’s team of estimators and professional engineers uncover underlying issues or deficiencies that often help clients prevent long term liability and cost associated with correcting problems after the fact.
Borzellino says DCG offers a unique value proposition. “What makes us different from our competition is that we have the resources and manpower to handle projects that vary in complexity, budget and scope.”
The company can provide a full turn-key solution, handling the design/build, construction management and general contracting, or alternatively, can provide project based pricing for paving, concrete or site services. “Regardless of size, every job is delivered with the same quality standards, attention to detail and prudent financial management.”
DCG’s completed projects range from golf courses and hospitals to hi-rise residential developments and retirement homes. Successful projects include Canadian Tire locations, Chartwell’s Oakville Retirement Residence, work for the York Catholic District School Board and key high-rise and residential community projects.
Two projects that demonstrate DCG’s expertise are the Rosedale Golf Course and Panoramic Point development projects. Borzellino says each had specific site challenges that required strategic problem solving and resourcefulness. “To us a successful project is when a client feels we’ve gone above and beyond. In each of these instances we delivered unparalleled value to the projects and have two very happy clients to show for it.”
He says often it is DCG’s versatility and adaptability that makes the difference. “We understand no two projects are created equal and that each client brings with them their own set of wishes and requirements. It’s our job to ensure we carefully monitor delivery schedules, materials cost and labour quality to ensure successful completion and client satisfaction. We believe companies are only as good as the people who run them and stand proudly behind our name and promise.”
Borzellino says DCG is built upon a diverse workplace with employees from all walks of life. Sharing a common goal to create great work and make clients happy, there is also recognition of the need for internal team building.
“We encourage team members to interact with departments other than their own in order to get a more well rounded appreciation for our company and each other. Ongoing social events are part of our regular corporate calendar where we collectively decide on new and exciting activities to explore as a team.”
DCG continues to grow, internally and externally. The company recently expanded its operations team as well as its fleet of equipment. Borzellino says one catalyst for this is increased interest from developers in having DCG manage the entire life cycle of civil construction projects.
