Northan Realty Advisors has submitted a rezoning application to the City of Toronto to build a condominium tower above a corner of the the Bell Trinity Square office complex at 483 Bay St.

IBI Group has designed the 590 condominium, which would top out at 70-storeys (226.63 m.)  If the building is completed as proposed, it would become the city’s 10th tallest structure, overtaking Ten York Street, Urban Toronto reports.

The planned over-top density condo addition is similar to a recently topped-off project at 488 University Ave.

Residents would access the tower via a new elevator and stair core located on the Trinity Square facade beyond the existing atrium, connecting with a 15th-floor sky lobby via a bridging structure, the website reports.

There will be a  mix of 56 studios, with 342 one-bedroom, 118 two-bedroom and 74 three bedroom units. The proposed project also includes 1,189 sq. m of indoor and 1,095 sq. m. of outdoor amenity space, along with additional car and bicycle parking.

The project documentation doesn’t provide specific details about proposed exterior materials or the engineering to support the additional levels.
