Zayoun Group has proposed a development including hundreds of townhomes, condos and single-detached homes in a new subdivision in Ottawaโ€™s western Stittsville community.

Documents filed with the City of Ottawa Planning Department on Oct. 27 indicate that the project would include a nine-storey mixed use building, including 175 condominium units and ground-level retail space. The structure would be part of the development of a 22-acre site at 6171 Hazeldean Rd., near Carp Roadโ€™s northeast corner.

There would also be another 180 condos in five separate buildings, 154 townhouses and 20 single detached homes, connected by internal streets. The plans include a 1.8 acre park.

The planning documents say the developer is seeking a rezoning to permit increased building heights, as well as the park, townhouses and the individual houses, Ottawa Business Journal has reported.
