Developer proposes hundreds of townhomes, condos and single-detached homes in new Stittsville subdivision

Zayoun Group has proposed a development including hundreds of townhomes, condos and single-detached homes in a new subdivision in Ottawa’s western Stittsville community.

Documents filed with the City of Ottawa Planning Department on Oct. 27 indicate that the project would include a nine-storey mixed use building, including 175 condominium units and ground-level retail space. The structure would be part of the development of a 22-acre site at 6171 Hazeldean Rd., near Carp Road’s northeast corner.

There would also be another 180 condos in five separate buildings, 154 townhouses and 20 single detached homes, connected by internal streets. The plans include a 1.8 acre park.

The planning documents say the developer is seeking a rezoning to permit increased building heights, as well as the park, townhouses and the individual houses, Ottawa Business Journal has reported.
