EllisDon employees participated in the ParaTough Cup,the Paralympic Foundation of Canada’s premier fundraising event.

Held in Calgary and Toronto in March, the event was attended by 15 participants from the Calgary office and three different EllisDon departments: Infrastructure Services and Technology (IST), Digital & Data Engineering, and Capital. Teams competed in various para sports including wheelchair basketball, sitting volleyball, and para ice hockey, and we couldn’t be prouder of their dedication and effort.

“They gave it their all and we couldn’t be prouder of their efforts,” the company said in a statement. “However, it was the Paralympians who truly shined.

“The Paralympians’ passion, dedication and exceptional talent were incredibly inspiring and reminded us that greatness is possible with determination and hard work.”

EllisDon continues to support the foundation with an annual fundraising goal of $25,000 including $10,000 contributed through participation in the ParaTough Cup.

Funds go towards the foundation’s goal of promoting sports and creating opportunities for Canadians with disabilities.
