Several EllisDon employees recently participated in the ParaTough Cups 2023, a fundraiser for the Paralympic Foundation of Canada. Participants from three EllisDon departments: IST, DDE, and capital competed with 12 other organizations from across Canada in Para sports including wheelchair basketball, sitting volleyball, and para ice hockey.
“Our teams gave it their all and we couldn’t be prouder of their efforts. However, it was the Para Athletes who truly shined,” the company said in a statement. “Their passion, dedication, and exceptional talent were incredibly inspiring and reminded us that anything is possible with determination and hard work.”
As an official supplier to the Canadian Paralympic Committee, EllisDon supports the foundation with an annual fundraising goal of $25,000 and contributed $10,000 from participation in the ParaTough Cups towards the Paralympic Foundation’s three main program areas – parasport development, next generation programming, and high performance.
“We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with the Canadian Paralympic Committee and look forward to supporting our athletes as they prepare for the Santiago Parapan Am 2023 and Paris 2024,” EllisDon stated. “The ED IST team is dedicated to providing our athletes with everything they need to succeed and bring home the gold for Canada.”
