EllisDon Infrastructure Healthcare has been selected as the preferred proponent to build and finance the Orléans Health Hub project, Infrastructure Ontario (IO) says in statement.

The project in the eastern suburb of Ottawa is described as “the first of its kind in Ontario” for community-based health care.

“The company was selected after extensive evaluations following an open, fair and competitive request for proposals (RFP) process that began in October 2018.

“IO and Hôpital Montfort will now work to finalize contract details with EllisDon Infrastructure Healthcare. The project is expected to reach financial close in summer 2019, which means that relevant contracts have been signed and a financing rate has been set. The contract cost will be announced publicly following financial close,” said the IO statement.

Orleans Health Hub services will include:

  • A needs-based ambulatory program
  • Diagnostic imaging
  • Geriatric support and wellness
  • Mental health and wellness
  • Active rehabilitation
