Kontrol Technologies Corp. has been selected to provide multi-year monitoring of emissions and air quality for Ontario rail expansion infrastructure.

“This is our second major rail infrastructure win, and we are pleased to have been selected for this multi-year project,” company CEO Paul Ghezzi said in a statement. “Our real-time monitoring provides important insights and analytics to support the expansion of rail infrastructure with high transparency for impact on local air quality.”

Kontrol will install a customized emission and air quality solution as well as providing real-time monitoring over two years for a new rail infrastructure project.

“As part of our ongoing focus on organic growth and expanding our high margin business we will continue to target large, new infrastructure opportunities where our solutions can drive recurring revenues,” Ghezzi said.

The rail expansion project is part of the ongoing Provincial mandate to expand rapid rail transit in key areas of Ontario.

The company was also recently awarded multiple energy efficient installations in the commercial building sector with a total value of about $500,000.

Kontrol will provide extensive monitoring and analysis of critical emissions. For the commercial building customer Kontrol will be installing complex heat pump technology to replace existing heating, cooling, and ventilation (HVAC) systems and to drive energy savings of up to 60 percent per annum and reduce corresponding building emissions.

“We continue to add new customers across our industrial emission and commercial building platform as we deliver high value solutions for our customers,” Ghezzi said. “We remain focused on driving organic growth with profitability.”
