The Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada (MCAC) has announced its recipientsย for theย 2022 Richard McKeagan Scholarship Series.
This yearโs financial assistance total is the largest to date โ almost $30,000 – and it showcases the โindustryโs ongoing commitment to the next generation.โ
Scholarships were awarded through the following MCAC associate members and partners:
- Bradford White Canada ($1,500) โ Luca DeChellis
- Equipco Ltd. ($1,500) โ Emma Powell
- Federated Insurance ($1,000) โ Kyle Desrochers
- Masco/Delta ($1,500) โ Tatiana Howard
- MCAC Associate Members ($2,000) โ Arleen Kehler
- MCA Hamilton/Niagara ($1,000) โ Emma Powell
- Mitsubishi Electric Heating and Cooling ($2,000) โ Mina Ariana
- OS&B (two scholarships totalling $2,500) โ Jill Stagg and Kyron Evans
- Palser Enterprises ($1,500 towards tools) โ Cory Mueller
- Reliance Worldwide Canada ($2,500) โ Emma Powell
- ServcoCanada ($2,500) โ Arleen Kehler
- Taco Comfort Solutions ($1,000) โ Tasneem Kham and Marco Meli
- Uponor (five scholarships worth $500) โ Mina Ariana, Tang Gilbert, Tatiana Howard, Meghan McLaughlin, and Emma Powell
- Watts Water Technologies ($1,500) โ Brooke Carbino
- Women in Mechanical Construction ($800) โ Arleen Kehler
The Richard McKeagan Scholarship Series, recently renamed to recognize the work of the Associationโs past-CEO has awarded more than $100,000 since 2006 to post-secondary students. Applicants may also be a registered apprentice in a mechanical contracting trade.
