EllisDon Infrastructure Healthcare announced August 6 that it has been awarded the $59.7 million fixed-price contract to build the Orleans Health Hub Project in Mississauga, after an open procurement process facilitated by a third party advisor.

The Hub is the first project of its kind in Ontario: a facility that will provide a comprehensive service delivery model of care. Services offered through the Hub will include diagnostic imaging, geriatric support and wellness, mental health and wellness, active rehabilitation, and a needs-based ambulatory program.

The 96,000 square-foot facility will be located at the corner of Mer-Bleue Road and Brian Coburn Boulevard.

“The Orleans Health Hub project is a major milestone for the community as it will be highly focused on the needs of the patient population by streamlining a number of community and healthcare services,” said Wayne Ferguson, senior vice-president and area manager of EllisDon in Ottawa.
