Excitement filled the air at this year’s Ontario Home Builders’ Association (OHBA) Awards of Distinction Gala, where Mountainview Building Group triumphed, winning two awards: Builder of the Year (Large Volume) and Best Décor Centre.
The Builder of the Year award recognizes companies demonstrating excellence in community service, innovation, sales, and marketing. “Our success is about more than building homes – it’s about building community,” said Mark Basciano, President of Mountainview Building Group. “This award is particularly special to us, as it honors not only our building and design efforts but also the impactful community projects we prioritize daily.”
With more than 45 years of experience, Mountainview has established itself as an industry leader in both residential and commercial development, known for its commitment to philanthropy. The company has supported numerous organizations, including FACS Family and Children Services Niagara, Ronald McDonald House, and Niagara Children’s Centre. Notably, they made headlines as a founding donor for their $3 million contribution to the new Niagara Health hospital, South Niagara Site.
“This award is a testament to the devotion our talented team puts forth every day to ensure a positive impact on our homebuyers and the community,” Basciano added. “We are truly honoured.”
In addition to the Builder of the Year accolade, Mountainview also received the award for Best Décor Centre for its innovative Design House. This space allows homeowners to select interior and exterior finishes, offering a stunning representation of modern styles while ensuring a functional and enjoyable experience. “We are thrilled to receive this award,” said Nicole Kennedy, Director of Sales and Marketing. “Our team’s commitment to providing the best homebuilding experience is the foundation of our success.”
The OHBA AOD gala celebrated building excellence across Ontario, honoring the creativity, innovation, and talent of builders, renovators, developers, and agencies within the industry.
