The Canadian Construction Association (CCA) has announced that Brendan Nobes is returning for a second year as chair of the board of directors. Nobes is the director of major projects for RCS Construction, a general contracting firm building landmark projects throughout Atlantic Canada.
He has led the board to create a robust governance manual, implement changes to CCAโs by-laws to allow for an option to extend the term of chair from one to two years, a more diversified board, and a refreshed three-year strategic plan.
In 2023, CCA will continue to focus โon building workforce capacity, advancing fair procurement and a long-term infrastructure plan, including trade-enabling infrastructure, while strengthening the bonds between CCA and our partner associations.โ
The gold seal project manager and estimator is active in several industry associations and is CCAโs representative on the Canadian Construction Documents Committee. He is also past chair of the Construction Association of Nova Scotia and the 2017 recipient of the CCA Robert Saunders Trophy for his commitment and dedication to the industry, particularly to the general contractorsโ sector.
