The City of North Bay recently approved several contracts for upcoming work – including over $2 million for construction of the West Link extension awarded to Pedersen Construction (2013) Inc.
According to a staff report, the West Link project is the final phase of the recreational pathway connecting the cityโs north and south ends.
The new multi-use pathway will is part of the Voyageur Cycling Route from Sudbury to Ottawa and has two-way sections separated from the road by a curb and a section of bike lanes on Main Street.
Pedersen was the lowest of three bids received at $2.2 million.
Other recently approved contracts:
- Canor Construction Inc. was awarded a 2,000 buy clonazepam online overnight contract to replace the weigh scale at the Merrick Landfill – the lowest of three bids. According to a staff report, the old scale will be repurposed internally by the cityโs public works department.
- Brook Restoration Ltd. was awarded a $464,600 contract for structural repairs and waterproofing to the parking garage on McIntyre Street W.
- Bruman Construction was awarded a $1.1 million contract for the reconstruction of Carriage Crescent โ the lowest of eight bids. Granular material will be replaced, storm sewers, sanitary sewer maintenance holes will be replaced.
A recommendation to award Venasse Buildings Group Inc. a $520,000 contract for renovations to the cityโs customer service centre was withdrawn.
