The Ontario Home Buildersโ Association (OHBA) has announced a new board of directors for ENERQUALITY and appointed Joe Vaccaro as the new CEO.
New board of members are tasked with modernizing the organization. They include:
- Paul De Berardis โ Vice President, Building Standards and Engineering at RESCON
- Dino Chiesa โ Former Chair of Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation
- Jacqueline Collier โ Director, Sales and Marketing at Tamarack Development Corporation
- Gord Cooke โ President of Building Knowledge Canada
- Dan Gabriele โ President of Marz Homes
- Brian Johnston โ Director of Sienna Senior Living and Canada Mortgage and Housing
- Corporation, and former CEO of CreateTO
- Michael Lio โ President of buildABILITY and former CEO of ENERQUALITY
- Scott Stevens โ Executive business coach specializing in the housing industry
- Bernie Torchia โ Former Senior Vice President, High-Rise Construction at Mattamy Homes
โThis new board of directors brings the expertise and vision needed to align a modernized ENERQUALITY with OHBAโs growth strategy,โ said Mike Memme, Chair of OHBA. โBy strengthening our combined capacity, we will enhance industry training with ENERQUALITY as OHBAโs external training hub while continuing to expand its home labelling and certification programs.โ
Vaccaro and the board will increase the focus on training for home builders, a need that has been expressed by OHBA members, alongside continuing to grow its energy certification business.

OHBA has been a shareholder of ENERQUALITY since it founded the company with the Canadian Energy Efficiency Alliance (CEEA) in 1998.
