Easton’s Group of Hotels has announced the topping off of its Toronto Yorkville Hotel last month, marking completion of structural framework.

The group held a ceremony at the 387 Bloor Street East construction site July 21 with members of Easton’s Group of Hotels, Gupta Group Developments, and Skygrid Construction Inc.

The 184-room hotel is scheduled to open in November.

“Today is a significant milestone for the construction of this property and a testament to the skill and diligence of all parties involved,” says Reetu Gupta, chairwoman and ambassadress of The Gupta Group and Easton’s Group of Hotels.

“We’re excited to bring Canada’s very first Canopy by Hilton Hotel to Toronto. The hotel with its premium location will bring a unique blend of luxury, convenience, and urban living, offering a new way for guests near and far to experience the city.”

The hotel will feature a modern café with retail space on the main floor, a restaurant with views of Bloor St. and the Rosedale Valley, indoor pool, yoga and fitness rooms and meeting spaces.

Hotel rooms will be on second to ninth floors and the remainder of the 55-storey building will be residential units.

Studio Munge designed the building with curved edges and organic motifs which will be complemented by a local art collection.
