Waverly Projects has submitted a rezoning application for a three tower office and condo development on Steeles Ave. in Toronto to replace an amalgamation of low-rise properties, DataBid.com reports.

Ratio + Macacchi Architecture is designing the project at the site of an existing medical centre at 4631 Steeles Ave. E., next to the Milliken GO Station and the Splendid China Mall.  Urban Toronto says the project will add 499 condo units to the growing neighbourhood.

In addition, the mall’s owners propose to densify their property by adding three residential towers to replace the mall’s surface parking. The Local Planning Appeals Tribunal (LPAT) approved this project in February 2019, bringing 793 condos, 12,808 sq. m.  of office space and 3,257 sq. m. of retail space to the area.

Waverly’s development will include 349 two-bedroom, 141 one-bedroom and nine three bedroom units, along with 513 below-grade parking spaces.

As well, there will be a 10-storey, 5,167 sq. m. medical office building fronting Steeles Avenue at the corner with Redlea Avenue, DataBid.com reports.

Other consultants for the Waverly Projects initiative include: Civil engineer – SCS Consulting; landscape architect and plannerThe MBTW Group; and transportation consultantBA Consulting Group Ltd.
