A Surety Association of Canada (SAC) representative will explain how a surety bond can be considered a construction specification at a presentation to the Construction Specifications Canada (CSC) Ottawa chapter on Oct. 24.

Pierre Cadeaux, a government and stakeholder relations specialist and SAC’s regional director for Québec, will explain how SAC is allied with the construction industry in delivering public and private infrastructure bonds.

He will explain the basics about how surety bonds are applied, and “illustrate how the surety industry supports federal and provincial construction prompt payment initiatives.”

In a statement, Cadeaux says he will see CSC’s input, “with a view to strengthening our relationship going forward.”

Tickets for the breakfast event starting at 7:30 a.m and concluding at 10:00 a.m. are $15 for CSC members, and $25 for non-members. You can register here.
