Toronto issues $1.233 billion building permits in June

Toronto issued $1,233,348,791 of building permits in June.

Here are the top five permits, listed in order of recorded value.

$425 million – 81 Bay St. S.

Construction is underway at CIBC Square, a two-tower project in downtown Toronto. Hines and Ivanhoe Cambridge are developing the 3-million sq. ft. site. The permit is for the south tower. Architects WilkonsonEyre and Adamson Associates designed the project, which includes an elevated park spanning the rail corridor that will be open to the public.

$160 million – 1001 Sheppard Ave. E.

DIALOG has designed Concord Park Place, a 24 and 29 storey mixed use condo building that Concord Adex is developing in Bayview Village.

$60 million – 59 Mutual St. S.

Dream Unlimited is developing this 32-storey, 235-unit condo, designed by RAW Design.

$31 million – 1411 Queen St. E.

The permit describes the project as a “Transit Station, Subway, Bus Terminal Multiple Projects Building.”

$30 million – 1197 The Queensway W.

Merlin Spring Developments and Harbour Equity CapitalCorp. Are developing a 10-storey condo, designed by NAK Design Studios.
