Toronto issued $553,092,535 of building permits in September, a significant decrease from August’s total of $1,989,663,515.
Here are the top five permits, listed in order of recorded value.
$56,436,000 – 150 Sterling Rd.
City planning documents indicate the permit is for a “large building” on the site, as part of a mixed-use development including commercial and residential structures, with a Privately Owned Publicly Accessible Open Space (POPS).
Urban Toronto reports that Giannone Petricone Architects has designed the 13-storey structure for Marlin Spring Developments.
$50 million – 150 College St.
The University of Toronto is revitalizing the Fitzgerald Building, with a renovation and atrium addition at the St. George Campus structure. Architects are RDH Architects and OMA.
$28 million – 2010-2012 Bathurst St.
The permit says it is for a new building on the site of an existing condo development.
754 Bathurst St. – $20 million
The permit says the work is for building interior alterations and additions in the structure within the Mirvish Village development.
$14,134,300 – 444 Yonge St.
The permit is for “laboratory interior alterations” and building additions/alterations at the provincial government building.
