Detail Of Services: This Request for Quotations (the “RFQ”) is an invitation by the Town of Collingwood (“the Town”) to prospective bidders to submit non-binding quotations for the provision of The inspection, cleaning and minor repairs for the Raymond A. Barker (RAB) Water Treatment Plant (WTP) raw water intake pipe, intake structure and chlorine, air and sampling lines as further described in the RFQ Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”).The RAB WTP is located at 2 Raglan Street, Collingwood, Ontario with a rated capacity of 31.14 ML/day. Surface water is drawn from the Nottawasaga Bay through a submerged inlet structure, located approximately 765m offshore and then conveyed to the WTP through a 1,067mm diameter reinforced concrete pipe. The intake structure consists of four (4) bell mouthed pipes. The intake pipe and structure were commissioned in 1969.An annual inspection of the outside of the pipe and structure is completed, with the latest completed in 2023. The inside of the intake pipe itself has not been inspected. Time-frame for Delivery of Goods or Services, or the Duration of the Contract• Due to water turbidity conditions, the inspection, cleaning and any repairs required are to be completed no later than July 31st, 2024.
