The Calgary Construction Association has opened a renovated members’ centre designed to empower and support members and increase opportunities for face-to-face events.

CCA president & COO Bill Black says that during COVID-19, members missed out on association events and the chance to simply hang out with each other and share industry information on new projects over a cup of coffee.

The new space, in the association’s 10,000 square feet of offices on 12th Street N.E., will provide an environment for industry professionals to connect, engage in industry-specific discussions, and gain access to invaluable tools and resources.

The Members Centre will serve as a hub for members of the association, offering a wide range of exclusive resources, networking opportunities and collaborative spaces.

“Yesterday, we officially dedicated the new Calgary Construction Association Member Centre. We’re proud to carry on the legacy of hard work and dedication built into this space over the decades and look forward to seeing it used as a gathering place and hub for Calgary’s construction industry,”

“We were humbled to have Elder Charlie Crowchild and Nation Helper David Meguinis from Tsuut’ina Nation offer a blessing and a prayer. The blessing was particularly poignant as the new space recognizes the ancestral home of the Treaty 7 Peoples with a permanent land acknowledgement.

“We know that true reconciliation requires active and ongoing efforts, and we remain dedicated to fostering respectful relationships, engaging in meaningful dialogue, and amplifying Indigenous voices within our industry.
