Brett Forestell joined the City of Belleville over 13 years ago as Deputy Chief Building Official, a new role at that time. He is a graduate of the Loyalist College Construction Technician program. Following his graduation, he worked as a construction manager, gaining industry experience.

In 1991, he became a Building Inspector with Percy Township. He continued to work as an Ontario Building Official in various local rural municipalities prior to joining the City.

In 2008, Kevin Kehoe joined the City of Belleville as a Building Inspector. Kevin is a graduate of the Construction Engineering Technology program at Conestoga College in Kitchener, Ontario.

In addition to the experience he gained working with a variety of contractors and suppliers within the building industry, and operating his own construction business for seven years, Kevin worked for the City of Kingston as a Building Inspector from 2005 to 2008. He is a Certified Building Code Official with the Ontario Building Officials Association.

“We are very pleased that Brett and Kevin have accepted these appointments within our Engineering and Development Services Department,” said Rod Bovay, CAO, City of Belleville.

“With their combined experience and enthusiasm, we are confident they are prepared to continue to strengthen the City’s relationship with local contractors and builders which will benefit the industry within our community.”

Mayor Panciuk welcomes Brett and Kevin to their new roles. “During the past few weeks both Brett and Kevin have stepped up, facilitating progress and maneuvering through some unprecedented challenges. The building industry is an essential part of our local economy and we look forward to Brett and Kevin leading their team to strengthen this sector.”
