York Region Keswick WRRF Aeration Blower Replacement Professional Services

Detail Of Services: This intent of this RFP is to solicit qualified consultant for the provision of the design, contract administration and site inspection for the Keswick WRRF Aeration Blower Replacement Project. The Keswick WRRF is an extended aeration treatment plant with tertiary membrane filtration. The facility is located at 153 Morton Avenue in Keswick, Ontario, and was equipped with tertiary membranes in 2013. The Keswick WRRF currently operates under Amended Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) No. 5048-B38K44 dated September 20, 2018 with a current rated capacity of 18,000 m3/d, and has a future planned total build-out rated capacity of 23,000 m3/day with the addition of a fourth secondary treatment aeration tank.  The existing aeration blower system consists of four 200 HP (150 kW) multi-stage centrifugal blowers (3 duty, one standby), each capable of supplying approximately 5,316 m3/hr of airflow. The blowers are located in the lower level Aeration Blower Gallery, complete with inlet valves used to regulate blower output. Air is supplied to three aeration tanks through fine bubble diffusers. Currently, the blowers cannot supply airflow between 3,000 to 4,000 m3/hr or 6,000 to 8,000 m3/hr.  The primary objective of this assignment is to provide robust and efficient air supply to meet the full range of oxygen demand at all flowrates.

Queens University New Residence Building Third Party Commissioning Authority
