Detail Of Services: This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the City of Kingston (the “City”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for RFP No. F31-CES-FMCS-2019-19 Frontenac County Courthouse – Restoration of East and West Wing Cupolas, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”). This project comprises full restoration of the east and west wing cupolas above the roof level of the Frontenac County Courthouse, located at 5 Court Street in Kingston. The Frontenac County Courthouse is a National Historic Site of Canada. It is designated under both Parts IV and V of the Ontario Heritage Act and is the subject of a heritage easement agreement with the Ontario Heritage Trust, pursuant to Part II of the Act. Due to this structure’s unique historical significance, special precautions and procedures will be required while completing selective demolition, restoration and related work.
