Both the deck and approach wearing surfaces are protected with asphalt surface treatment. The concrete girder system is supported by cast in place concrete abutments. The bridge crosses a non-navigable waterway on an east / west alignment. The bridge has a cast in place concrete parapet wall extending across the deck length. The approaches have a steel flex beam guiderail system supported by steel posts. • The replacement structure shall be a 2-lane bridge of similar or longer span.
