Detail Of Services: The Instrumentation Design and Support Section (IDSS) of the Scientific Services Division (SSD) in the Food Directorate (FD) of HPFB requires a Dry Well Calibration System to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the annual calibration/verification of approximately 500 temperature sensors connected to the Amegaview and Viewpoint Monitoring and Alarm Systems, which record the temperature of refrigerators, freezers, ultra low freezers and incubators where temperature sensitive laboratory samples are stored. The requirement must include all of the following: The Contractor must deliver a single Dry Well Calibration System (Metrology Well), with a calibration certification and a complete set of operating manuals (Hard copy and soft copy). The Dry Well Calibration System (Metrology Well) must provide a stable, programmable heat source to verify the accuracy, reliability, linearity and usable range of temperature sensors, and verify the operation, accuracy and stability of electronic thermometers used as test and measurement equipment by IDSS staff. IDSS requires a Dry Well Calibrator that can accommodate temperature probes of various shapes and sizes with a temperature range of -90 degrees C (ultra-low freezers) to 40 degrees C (incubators). A calibration certificate (NVLAP, NIST, ISO 17025 or equivalent) must be provided to verify the Dry Well Calibrator is operating within specifications at the time of delivery to IDSS.
