Developers are planning a nine-story mixed use project on what are currently five properties at Richmond Road and Churchill Ave. in Ottawa’s Westboro neighbourhood.
The proposed project would include 184 residential units, with parking for 130 vehicles. There would be commercial space on the ground floor and roof-top indoor and outdoor amenity areas.
City planning documents say Richmond Churchill Limited Partnership will be the builder, while InterRent REIT (based in Ottawa) is named on the site plan.
The properties referenced in the planning filings are at 319, 325 and 327 Richmond Rd., 381 Churchill Ave. N. and 380 Winona Ave. They are currently an apartment building, a two-storey mixed-use building, an auto garage, and a two storey duplex.
The Richmond Road property is designated traditional mainstreet, allowing for a mix of commercial and residential uses, Ottawa Business Journal reports. Current zoning restricts building heights to 15 metres, so the developers will require city council approval for the 30-metre project.
