A public open house is scheduled before crews break ground on a $16 million pipeline project expected to begin in April in Simcoe County.
In a statement, the Town of Tottenham said the meeting will “provide an opportunity for all local residents, property owners and interested parties to review the design drawings for the construction works and to discuss the project further with the project team.”
The pipeline route will start at the McKelvey Well in the hamlet of Beeton and then extend south toward the 8th Line, west to County Road 10 and then south, ending at the Mill Street Reservoir in Tottenham.
It is expected to be operational in 2022.
The meeting is being held Thursday, Jan. 23, from 5-7 p.m. at the Tottenham Recreation and Fitness Centre at 139 Queen St. N.
Anyone with questions or concerns can contact Kim Sayers, project manager for R.V. Anderson Associates, at 416-497-8600, or Robert Greenwood, project manager for the Town of New Tecumseth, at 705-435-3900, ext. 1314.
