Axium Packaging Inc. is expanding its operations and construction is underway on a new $80 million manufacturing site in Brampton.

The new site is expected to open in July 2024. Axium has 20 manufacturing plants in the United States, Canada and Mexico and employs over 3,600 employees.

“We are excited to invest and partner with the City of Brampton, and Ontario as a part of our continued expansion in the North American market,“ said Paul Judge, president, Axium Packaging.

Axium Packaging provides design engineering and tool building solutions for its customers’ packaging needs including plastic containers, tubes, caps and high end decorating services. The new site is being designed to be LEED Silver compliant.

In 2022 Axium built a factory in New Albany Ohio to produce their own grade of PCR (post-consumer resin). Today, it produces bottles using up to 100% recycled resin.

The investment Axium is making in Brampton, further solidifies the company’s commitment to growth in Ontario.

“We are building on incredible momentum here in Brampton and this win solidifies that,” said Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown. “This new facility will add to the city’s sector network, providing new and sustainable plastic solutions.

“As Axium continues to grow its footprint in North America, we are excited and proud that their expansion plans include Brampton with this $80 million investment and 250 new advanced manufacturing jobs.”
