Kingston Park Signage Fabrication

Detail Of Services: This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the City of Kingston (the “City”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Park Signage Fabrication, as further described in Part 2 of the RFP Particulars (the “Deliverables”). A qualified proponent is required to supply and fabricate of up to 30 wooden park signs for neighbourhood parks within the City of Kingston as per specifications supplied. Pre-drilled posts, cut to length, and supporting hardware are to be provided for each sign. The Park identification signs include both the park name and civic address panels. There are 4 types of park signs. It is anticipated that the required park signs will include 1large horizontal, 13 medium horizontal, 14 small horizontal and 2 vertical signs. Refer to Appendix D for type of signs for each park and sign detail. Wood for sign panels can either be Douglas fir, western red cedar, eastern white cedar, hemlock or approved alternative. Wood posts are to be Western red cedar or an approved alternative. Prior to the final fabrication of the park sign, a sample of the sign stain finishing and one mock up of a sign shall be made available for review and approval by the City. The spelling of the park name and address will be confirmed by City. Assembly and installation of the park signs is not part of the proposal, but proponent is to ensure signs can be assembled correctly. Signs are to delivered to the City of Kingston by November 30, 2022 or propose an alternative sign delivery schedule. The City reserves the right not to accept any proposal and to re-issue this RFP at the sole discretion of the City.
