PCL Construction has been named one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People.
“Landing on the Canada’s Top 100 Employer’s list is always exciting, but this additional recognition is the icing on the cake,” said Mike Olsson, vice president of human resources and professional development.
“We have an exceptional student program which provides over 500 placements per year. This connects us with talented young people and each year more than 90 students become full-time PCL employees. This special designation recognizes employers that offer the nation’s best workplaces and programs for young people starting their careers.
Canada’s Top Employers for Young People is a competition organized by the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project, a national competition to determine which employers lead their industries in offering the best workplaces for their employees. PCL was named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers in November—for the 11th year in a row.
“We’ve always known our exciting construction projects and significant professional development and mentoring opportunities make PCL a great choice for younger employees,” Olsson said. “This special designation recognizes the employers that offer the nation’s best workplaces and programs for young people starting their careers.”
