The City of Ottawa is hosting a series of public information sessions for the North Side Stands at Lansdowne Park development. The design for the project is now available and city staff will share updates on the plans and gather feedback at the meetings.
An in-person session will be held Jan. 15 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. inside Gate 2 at TD Place Arena, 1015 Bank St.
Also, a virtual session will be held Jan. 16 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Click here to register.
Both sessions will provide a review of new renderings and information regarding the timeline, funding, and expected impacts of the redevelopment. In late 2025, city staff will present the construction bid, air rights bid, legal agreements, and any potential funding strategy adjustments to City Council for approval before breaking ground.
The North Side Stands redevelopment, part of the broader Lansdowne 2.0 project, aims to enhance the site’s capacity and facilities, with an eye on both improving fan experience and advancing the long-term vision for the stadium.
In April 2024, the city approved a design-bid-build procurement model for the project.
Upcoming sessions will provide an opportunity for the public to review renderings of the proposed design, learn about the plans for the construction phase, and ask questions directly to city officials. City staff will also outline how public input has been integrated into the final design.
“This is an exciting step forward for the Lansdowne 2.0 project,” said a City of Ottawa spokesperson in a news release. “We’re excited to engage with residents and continue to incorporate their feedback as we move closer to construction. These sessions will help ensure that the final design meets the needs of the community while enhancing Lansdowne’s role as a hub for entertainment and recreation in Ottawa.”

“The Lansdowne 2.0 project represents the next phase of revitalization for Lansdowne Park, which has long served as a major venue for sports, entertainment, and community events,” says a statement from the city. “The North Side Stands redevelopment is one of the key elements in creating a more modern, multi-use facility that will serve Ottawa residents for years to come.”
